Amadeus by Peter Shaffer reinvents the story around the the lives of Antonio Salieri and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The play, which is narrated by the biased Salieri, but witnessed by many, threads Mozart's music throughout, while treating human proclivities such as jealousy, revenge, lust, love, genius and betrayal…and perhaps even murder.
